Good thing some of us don’t have cable because the closing ceremony was a definite shit bomb. Greg Gillis showed Canada a good time on Friday though, which means were not totally screwed and Avril, Simple Plan, and Hedley’s appearences can be swept under the rug.

According to an article in the Vancouver Sun; the Girl Talk show on Friday was very well received. After gracing the stage with a mini olympic torch and screaming fans chanting “Girl Talk, Girl Talk”; Greg immediately won the crowd over by saying,”I’m from Pittsburg, the current home of Sidney Crosby.” He started the night with a mash up off 50 Cent’s In Da Club and Leo Arnaud’s Bugler’s Dream, which was composed in the 1950s for U.S. Olympic news coverage.

Read the full article, Canada has probably busted Girl Talk’s spirits a lot. If you remember our January post about the Girl Talk NYE Party; you’ll remember our disgust over the amount of hating going on via Brooklyn Vegan’s comments section. Love Brooklyn V to death and they love Girl Talk, but was not in love with the haters.

Cut the man some slack people!!!
